Google’s Gmail is now open for public beta!

Google has decided to open its EMail service “Gmail” to the public today. After more then 2 years of invitation based beta testing, Google finally placed a Sign up link on the Gmail homepage.

    I found this page to be sort of annoying. There is no clarification if you can turn off the SMS messaging and just use email on your computer, to avoid interruptions and g-Spam on your phone.

    They also provide inadequate Log-in help, to try to help you recall or confirm a dormant Lg-In ID, or to link other Google Accounts/ID’s with the new gMail. Someone simply wanting the email without Wireless sign-up (or who may have signed in to a different area of Google vefore) is left stranded, wondering if you should create yet ANOTHER Account just to try the service. Ugh.
